⁣The Newtons babysit Betsy, a spoiled young girl whose mother is marrying Jim's friend Bill. Betsy misses her dad, who was killed in the Korean War. Betsy's grief, anger, and hatred of Bill make her stay with the Newtons a trying time.

⁣During the 1700s, in the Great Lakes region the British troops have driven the French out and with help from the mercenary Hessian troops the British plan to annihilate the native tribes of the Ottawas.

⁣When war breaks out between oilmen and cattle ranchers, Gene sides with the ranchers until he learns that oil will bring a railroad to town.

⁣When Johnny and Mendez argue, the lights go out, and in the ensuing gunfight Johnny thinks he killed his friend Dick. Now refusing to wear a gun he crosses the border. But it is not long before he runs into Mendez and more trouble.

⁣When rustlers Ike Travis and Rand call on Senator Black and offer to protect his cattle at a dollar a head, the veteran rancher curtly refuses and the departing Rand tells him he is making a big mistake. Later, a gang of rustlers raid Black's great herd but are stopped by Tex Saunders and Chili, a couple of roving range riders. The rustlers then threaten Pop Hart and his daughter Laura, who are driving a herd to the Rio Grande Valley markets. Again, Tex and Chili come to the rescue. Further down the trail the rustlers attack again with more success, fatally wound Pop Hart and make off with the herd. Tex tells Laura that he, instead of just being a footloose range rider, is the brother of Sheriff Ed Saunders and both of them have made a vow to exterminate Travis and his gang. Tex later kills one of the rustlers in self defense but is jailed on suspicion of murder. He escapes and goes after the gang while Senator Black obtains the assistance of the Texas Rangers.

⁣Jim Fellows, is the head of a government experiment in wild horse reclamation for purposes other than war, and his efforts are hampered by Gus Jordan, manager of the swanky Lariat Lodge dude ranch, but actually the leader of a gang of rustlers who steal the horses as fast as the ranchers can round them up for the project.

⁣A lawman goes undercover to infiltrate a gang of cattle rustlers hiding out south of the border. His plan is to lead the thieves into the Sheriff’s trap, but complications arise when he falls for a beautiful fugitive of justice.
