⁣An inventor looking for backing for his television invention gets involved with a crooked businessman and gangsters who try to steal his invention.

⁣Ranger Bob Houston is riding shotgun on a stage driven by Silver and carrying a valuable shipment when it is attacked by Hash-Knife Brooks and his gang, including Apache Joe, a sadistic half-breed and Gomez, who vies with Brooks for leadership of the outlaws.Silver is killed and Bob wounded in the arm. Bob makes it back to Ranger headquarters and is told by his father, Ranger Captain Dan Houston that they can officially do nothing as the Rangers have been disbanded by the New Mexico state government. After a farewell dinner, with rangers played by Glenn Strange, Chcuk Baldra and Cactus Mack singing "Auld Lang Syne", they all go their own ways, with Bob going back to college. A few months later, Bob learns that Jim Reynolds, the former head of the Rangers and father of the girl Bob loves,Barbara Reynolds, has been murdered.

⁣Night riders are terrorizing homesteaders, and the town doctor tries to keep the locals from forming a vigilante group. After more towns people are killed, however, the rest of the town makes the doctor the town sheriff and tells him to clean up the gang.

⁣A U.S. marshal sets out to bring in a Mexican bandit accused of killing his girlfriend's father, but it turns out that there's more to the story than there first appears to be.

⁣Cisco and Pancho witness some strange behavior by a coach driver near the town of Guunison. Suddenly they are accused of attempting to rob the stage, Cisco clearly wants to clear his name, however while investigating Cisco discovers a much bigger game being played.

⁣Sent to investigate a payroll robbery, Marshall Rocky meets his old friends Ken, Eddie, and Max. He has the serial numbers and when Pop puts on his medicine show they get one of the bills. This enables Ken to see through Sorrell's scheme that threw the blame on an innocent rancher and he sets out to prove it.

⁣Roy is a government man sent to solve a novel crime problem: a woman flirts with unsuspecting ranchers in order to get information from them which she passes on to her cattle-rustling gang.

⁣When rustlers Ike Travis and Rand call on Senator Black and offer to protect his cattle at a dollar a head, the veteran rancher curtly refuses and the departing Rand tells him he is making a big mistake. Later, a gang of rustlers raid Black's great herd but are stopped by Tex Saunders and Chili, a couple of roving range riders. The rustlers then threaten Pop Hart and his daughter Laura, who are driving a herd to the Rio Grande Valley markets. Again, Tex and Chili come to the rescue. Further down the trail the rustlers attack again with more success, fatally wound Pop Hart and make off with the herd. Tex tells Laura that he, instead of just being a footloose range rider, is the brother of Sheriff Ed Saunders and both of them have made a vow to exterminate Travis and his gang. Tex later kills one of the rustlers in self defense but is jailed on suspicion of murder. He escapes and goes after the gang while Senator Black obtains the assistance of the Texas Rangers.

⁣A dying Marshal gives his identification papers to Tom. After Tom arrives in town, the papers drop and are found during a fight so Tom decides to assume the Marshal's identity. Mason, the chief, now sends Rattler, the killer of the Marshal, to also kill Tom. But when he overhears Tom is a fake, they change their plans and now go to arrest Tom for the murder of the Marshal.
