In New Mexico mineralogist student Paul Carlson is struck in the head by a tiny shard of a meteor causing him to unknowingly transform into a bloodthirsty reptilian creature.

⁣ Lucy moonlights again--this time as Milton Berle's secretary. After overhearing Berle rehearse a torrid love scene with Ruta Lee, Lucy decides to teach the cad a lesson by "tossing his salad".

⁣When a rancher discovers oil on his property, he is shot dead by one of his greedy workers, and Cisco and Poncho are accused of the murder.

⁣The Sheriff in Bonanza orders his assistant to bring the murderer Jim Hardy to the state prison, where Hardy is going to be hanged. On the way the assistant is killed by a shot from a man, who releases Hardy and brings him to his boss, Jim Holbrook. Holbrook plans to kill his employer, the ranch owner Henry P. Murdock, and replace him with Hardy, who resembles Murdock. Through this switch, Holbrook will get control over the ranch himself.

Frank Gordon, while drunk, is about to be rolled by the club bouncer, but Ken interferes and earns Clark's gratitude. Gordon gets a telegram from Kay Burke, the daughter of his partner in Arizona, notifying him that her father, Jim Burke, has been killed by rustlers. The ranch has a U.S. Army contract to furnish horses, but she sees little hope of being able to make good because the stock is being rustled, and she asks Gordon for his help. The latter is persuaded by Ken to answer her call for help, but Gordon insists that Ken accompany him, and also take his place as his substitute. Ken agrees. He soon discovers that the problems lie with a ranch employee that has been aiding the rustlers.

⁣Cowboy with a reputation as the fastest gun in Texas heads to Arizona to leave his past behind, but it keeps catching up to him.
