⁣Joe Dawson, foreman at a ranch in San Saba, asks his old friend Cisco to come and help them catch a gang of cattle rustlers. When the leader of the gang hears of this, he orders two of his henchmen to kill Joe and blame the murder on Cisco. Cisco and Pancho have to keep away from the sheriff at the same as they are searching for the gang and the missing cattle.

⁣U.S. marshal John Carruthers observes a robbery and Sheriff Jake thinks he may be the culprit. Meanwhile the town's leading citizen is planning to rob everybody blind.

To flush the thieves into the open, Carson wins all their money at poker. They agree to sell him the jewels but plan to kill him and keep both the jewels and the money.

⁣Baby photographer Ronnie Jackson, on death row in San Quentin, tells reporters how he got there: taking care of his private-eye neighbor's office.

⁣ Two petty gangsters trying to elude their enemies join the French Foreign Legion.

⁣A young frontier scout helps guide a freight wagon train across danger terrain, while his two crusty companions try and save him from falling in love.

⁣Cisco and Pancho come upon Klondike, who was just robbed of his wagon and freight.

These new criminals have taken up the latest technologies to outsmart the authorities, including shortwave radios and airplanes! Can Gene and Smiley get ‘em? You bet! Gene also gets romantic when he sings, "I Picked up the Trail when I Found You..."
