⁣The Sheriff in Bonanza orders his assistant to bring the murderer Jim Hardy to the state prison, where Hardy is going to be hanged. On the way the assistant is killed by a shot from a man, who releases Hardy and brings him to his boss, Jim Holbrook. Holbrook plans to kill his employer, the ranch owner Henry P. Murdock, and replace him with Hardy, who resembles Murdock. Through this switch, Holbrook will get control over the ranch himself.

⁣Pat and Stoney travel to Wyoming to oversee a land opening and end up playing nursemaid to a pair of identical twin pranksters and a kooky Chinese cook. Meanwhile, a trio of outlaws are pursuing the twins seeking information they possess.

⁣ Ann Fenwick is a witness to a bank robbery in the U.S. and the bandits, led by Trigger (Warner Richmond) and Leon (Ted Adams) capture her and when she disappears, a warrant is issued for her arrest as a material witness. The bank robbers flee across the border into Canda where they steal a trailer in which they lock Ann and the loot. The hitch breaks and the trailer plunges into a lake. Sergeant Renfrew (James Newill) and Constable Kelly (Dave O'Brien), of the Canadian Mounties,rescue Ann and she tells them she is a hitch-hiking tourist and gives a false name. Renfrew sends Kelly for aid, Ann escapes and Kelly returns with the news that she is wanted. The leader of the gang, Cardigan (Milburn Stone), sends the gang back for Ann and the loot, which Ann has hidden in a trappers cabin, just before Trigger recaptures her. Renfrew goes to her rescue, but is also captured. But reliable Constable Kelly is somewhere in the woods.

⁣An outlaw who has escaped from custody joins his old gang and plans his next robbery - a rich bank that's not too far away. With a posse pursuing them, the gang leader decides to pick up a grubstake from his law-abiding sister by blackmailing her.

⁣ Bolton's men blow up the wagon carrying the mine payroll and Marshal Crash Corrigan is supposedly killed in the explosion. A man finds his badge and gives it to Bolton. Thinking Crash dead, Bolton gives the badge away and it ends up with the Sheriff. Crash is OK and the Range Busters know Bolton is the head of the gang but that he gets his orders from someone else and that is the man they want.

⁣Young Bill Peck adores his father and tries to be good, but the arrival of his bratty cousin results in him getting in trouble.
