⁣"Headline Crasher" is a Conn Pictures Corporation production that was distributed on a regional basis by Guaranteed Pictures which, for the sources that seem to think otherwise, was a distribution company and not a production company. It was adapted by Harry O. Hoyt from Peter B.Kyne's "Motion To Adjourn" with the screenplay supplied by Sherman L. Lowe. It is another in the series of Frankie Darro/Kane Richmond pictures produced by Maurice Conn, with Darro as Jimmy Tallant, the care-free son of Senator Tallant, who feels compelled to help people he thinks are in distress and, by doing so, stays in trouble of some kind. The Senator is running for re-election, and is opposed by a newspaper that assigns reporter Larry Deering to the task of writing stories that will lead to the Senator's defeat. Scarlotti, a paroled convict leader of a gang of bank robbers, also has a bone to pick with the Senator. Jimmy's handy-andy good deeds gets him seemingly involved with the gang and this also brings up some situations that does not help his daddy's re-election bid.

⁣Someone is selling illegal guns to the Indians. The townspeople blame gunsmith Eben Cotten.

⁣ When Crenshaw kills a bushwhacker he takes his letter of introduction. This letter saves him from hanging when Stanton thinks he is the outlaw he has hired. But Crenshaw is in more trouble when Denton arrives and exposes him as a fake.

⁣Billy breaks jail in Texas and travels to Sundown at the request of his friend Fuzzy. There he runs into Mort Slade who is after a mortgage held by banker Ainsley. Slade's men rob the bank and then incite a run on the bank knowing Ainsley does not have enough money.

⁣Cocky young street kid worships his father, a sleazy political operative.

⁣Freedom of the press is threatened when the editor is framed for murder.

⁣Rancher entertains girl in Nevada to get a divorce. Then her gangster husband shows up.

⁣ When Morley has his own bank robbed, Tom tries to break it up. Mistaken for one of the gang, he is caught and sentenced to a chain gang. His girlfriend Peggy then sets out to prove his innocence.

⁣Into the vast swamplands and only a few steps ahead of the bloodhounds, an escaped convict is aided by a honky-tonk dancer.

⁣Cressing claims to have a royal grant giving him ownership of the town.

⁣With the railroad coming to Red Rock, trouble is expected and Billy has been sent ot help his friend Fuzzy who is the town's Sheriff, Judge, and barber. When the man that sent Billy is murdered and the railroad location map stolen, broken match sticks point to Vic Landreau.

⁣Night riders are terrorizing homesteaders, and the town doctor tries to keep the locals from forming a vigilante group. After more towns people are killed, however, the rest of the town makes the doctor the town sheriff and tells him to clean up the gang.

⁣Riley and Donovan, racehorse owners and trainers who have been rivals and enemies for years, seek to befriend Tod Taylor, a jockey, and Ham, a retainer.

⁣Fortune hunters seek a treasure rumored to have belonged to the French explorer La Salle. They ask Hawkeye to lead them but when he discovers that it is in a sacred Dakota burial ground he tries to dissuade them.

⁣A wandering cowboy attempts to locate a pal who has struck it rich in mining. When he gets to town, no one seems to have heard of the friend. Our hero learns the truth with the aid of a female bandit.

⁣Hank Davis kills Jack Lewis to get his gold mine. Bruce Conway brings him in but then realizes Davis is the only one that knows where the mine is. Bruce and his pal Whitey rescue Davis from the lynch mob only to have Davis' gang catch them and leave them in the desert to die.

⁣ A Communist spy ring in Japan is hard at work trying to sabotage the American war effort during the Korean War, using kidnapping, murder and a disturbed former kamikaze pilot. A U.S. secret agent, posing as a reporter, is dispatched to Tokyo to put a stop to these nefarious activities. The first American film shot entirely on location in Japan.

⁣Hawkeye has tracked outlaw Simon Girty to Morristown but he and Chingachgook are turned away and told that the town is closed due to an outbreak of the black plague. Hawkeye decides to sneak in and see for himself.

⁣ Tex is sent to investigate miners being killed and their mines confiscated. The culprit is Evans and after Tex joins the gang, he is sent to kill two more miners. When Estaban is killed, Tex is put on trial for all three murders.

⁣Roy is a government man sent to solve a novel crime problem: a woman flirts with unsuspecting ranchers in order to get information from them which she passes on to her cattle-rustling gang.
